1. What is your favourite book?
Well, there's actually a tie for this for me. The first is Lady Blade, Lord Fighter, by Sharon Green. The other is Dragon Prince by Melanie Rawn. The first is pretty much a romance set in a fantasy, but the other is an incredibly rich world based on Celtic mythos. They're my two favorite authors.

2. What makes you smile?
A good song, a great fic, my husband being sweet. :)

3. What attracted you to fandom?
Fandom at large? I was always pretty much a geek. Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, etc. I think part of it was because from before the time I could walk, my parents were in the SCA, so for me that kind of stuff was pretty normal. To live without it seems odd. My priorities have changed slightly, but I still have to surround myself with fanish people, or I feel out of place.

4. Do you think Legolas and Gimli are made for each other?
Well, I don't ship in LOTR, so I really don't slash in that fandom. But if it floats your boat, I won't tip it... ;)

5. Please rank these groups in order of geekdom and explain: fanfic writers, anime lovers, Trekkies, Cosplayers, penguins
Hmmm...that's a tough one...I suppose, but only by millimetres...Cosplayers, then fanfic writers, then anime lovers, then Trekkies, and way down the list (or is there something my sister forgot to tell me about them) penguins. Cosplayers because they have to put so much effort into what they do, and fanfic authors only slightly less. Anime lovers don't so much put effort into what they do as time, and they still get odd looks for liking it, though not as much as they once did. Trekkies are practically the mundanes of the fannish community. And...um...I still don't get penguins...
