Almost time!
Oct. 22nd, 2004 10:53 amAs most of you know, I'm getting married next week at Mt. Charleston (woo-hoo!) and then honeymooning in Las Vegas with the new hubby. I figure now would be a good time to ask about stuff to do in Las Vegas. This will be my second time there and George's first so any suggestions would be cool.
Let's see...
Are there any things I absolutely can't miss or I'll be laughed at forever? Fun restaurants? Super groovy free stuff? Super groovy expensive stuff that will still seem groovy after my wallet is empty? And most importantly, Halloween activities?
I'd appreciate any help with this. My family will be there but ditching them will not be an issue and there are no kids to deal with. Hopefully the trip goes as planned...
Crap. Why do I get the feeling I just jinxed myself? :p
(Partially X-posted to
lasvegas)
Edit: I forgot to add that we are staying at the Stratosphere and will be in Vegas for a week. :)

Date: 2004-10-22 11:48 am (UTC)Starting south and heading north on the Strip:
- Mandaly Bay wave beach
- Shopping mall between Mandalay Bay and Luxor--treat your new hubby to an old fashioned barber shave at "Art of Shaving."
- Luxor game arcade; Blue Man Group show at Luxor
- Watch the dancing fountains at Ballagio in the evening
- Go up the Eifel Tower at Paris (have dinner there some evening and see the Ballagio fountains across the street, kill two birds with one stone :-)
- See the indoor thunderstorm at Aladin's shopping arcade
- Erupting vulcano outside Mirage
- Go to the Canal Shoppes inside the Venetian; get a gondola ride that goes through the area (my wife an I were married on a gondola there three years ago, majorly kewl...
- See Circue De Soleil's "Mystere" show at TI...incredible!
- Go to the Adventure Dome at Circus Circus (CC generally blows chunks but the 'Dome can be fun)
- Go to the top of the Stratosphere tower
That should be enough to get you started.

Date: 2004-10-22 12:02 pm (UTC)The "Art of Shaving" sounds like something George would find cool. I'll have to look up those restaurants and Cirque but they all sound like fun (especially that Eiffel idea).
That should be enough to get you started.
I should say so! Thanks so much for the help, I appreciate it.
